Sarasota SCI Support Group

My name is Ryan Bergeron.  I'm 22 years old and up until July 19 of 2008 I was a professional waterskier and wakeboarder. I was injured in a barefoot skiing act while working in a waterski show at a theme park in Brazil that left me paralyzed from the waist down.  For the past four months I have been back on the water with my wakeboard that I rigged up with a sitski cage.  I have an amazing girlfriend Kristen whom I recently moved in with and a very supportive family that has helped me enormously with my recovery through these past nine months.  I am currently a student at USF sarasota pursuing a degree in Business.  Some of my other hobbies include fishing, scuba diving and before my accident I enjoyed surfing and skateboarding. I haven't found a way to do them yet but I figure there is always a way.
