ABOUT US
The Sarasota SCI Support Group is a community of individuals who have experienced a spinal cord injury or are caregivers, healthcare professionals, spouses, friends and interested persons. Established in May of 2008 under the sponsorship of HEALTHSOUTH SARASOTA, our group serves as a supportive network of participants providing a positive communication vehicle for educational presentations, learning from others and fellowship.
We are a diverse group of all ages and backgrounds with injuries that range from the high Cs to the lower Ss. Some injuries are very new; others have spanned more years than some of us like to admit. Our focus is positive --- how to utilize our abilities to foster improved health, independence and the pursuit of a full life.
